Immersive virtual reality promises to be the future of behavioral methods for intergroup and social psychologists. Newly developing technology, such as HTC Vive's virtual headset (see below for promotional video), enable researchers to create their own social scenarios and record behavioral activity such as eye-tracking and physical distance and approach. The BIAS lab uses HTC Vive integrated with eye-tracking, manufactured by Tobii Pro.

Researchers can now be in full control of their environments with the HTC Vive Headset integrated with Tobii eye tracking technology, and conduct studies that are more affordable while avoiding any risk for study participants. Tobii Pro VR Integration combines the power of eye tracking and VR, opening up new research possibilities within psychology, consumer behavior, training and human performance.
